Meet The Speaker
Bryan Gilpin, President, Sunrise Labs, Inc.
Bryan has spent his career building and growing great organizations to deliver technology that improves lives around the world. Prior to his appointment as President at Sunrise Labs, Bryan held leadership positions as President and Chief Operating Officer of Intuvie, LLC, a mid-size drug infusion pump and software company. At Haemonetics (NYSE: HAE), he led the global launch of a break-through apheresis technology with integrated, cloud-based software. Bryan held various roles of increasing responsibility at Boston Scientific in product management and operations. He holds an MSEE and an MBA from MIT and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Jonathan Gunn, PhD CEO, Briteseed
Jonathan is an expert in medical imaging and founded Briteseed to deliver hyperspectral imaging to the operating room. By integrating optics into minimally invasive tools, Briteseed enables surgeons to identify and visualize critical structures that are otherwise invisible to the human eye. Jonathan received his doctoral degrees in Biomaterials Engineering & Nanotechnology from the University of Washington, his JD from Northwestern Law, and joined distinguished patent law firm, Fish & Richardson, prior to starting Briteseed.
Mark Pacyna, CEO, Reprieve Cardiovascular
Mark has been CEO of Reprieve Cardiovascular since May 2021. Reprieve is a startup in the Acute Decompensated Heart Failure space developing a personalized intelligent decongestion management solution. Prior to joining Reprieve, Mark spent 16 years with Medtronic in various leadership positions. Most recently, Mark served as the VP & General Manager of Medtronic’s Peripheral Vascular Business. He also held several leadership roles in Strategy & Business Development, Corporate Development, and Sales Leadership across Medtronic’s Cardiovascular and Spine businesses. Mark graduated with a BSB in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Jim McGlone, Senior Medtech Executive
Jim McGlone is a seasoned Senior Executive with over 25 years of experience in the medical industry, blending large company expertise with startup success. He was the Founding CEO of Vitara Biomedical, a preclinical company developing an artificial womb for extreme preterm infants. Previously, Jim helped establish Auregen BioTherapeutics in the U.S., a biotech company focused on 3D bioprinting for rare disorders. He also held leadership roles at ChemImage, Oncura, and Galil Medical, and spent 14 years at Siemens Medical in various executive positions. Jim holds an EMBA from NYU, an MS in Bioengineering from Penn State, and a BA from Yale.
