WASHINGTON, D.C. – From September 27-30, The Medtech Conference 2021 will host a robust line-up of thought leaders from inside and outside the health care arena to discuss the top issues facing the medical technology industry and health care more broadly. The theme of the conference, Medtech Amplified, highlights the amplified coordination and united efforts to support the global fight against the coronavirus—from testing to treatment to mitigation devices for patients. Registration is free to members of the media.
The hybrid event boasts a line-up including Former Defense Secretary and U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel; Dr. Jeff Shuren, Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA); Bakul Patel, the first head of FDA’s Digital Health Center of Excellence; the Federal Reserve’s Dr. Mark Wright; Geoff Martha, CEO of the world’s largest medtech company; and others.
“After two years since our last in-person Conference, we are excited to once again gather as an industry in D.C. and Minneapolis, a top hub of medical innovation and excellence. As always, we have a great lineup of the industry’s top leaders and minds and so many opportunities to network and help attendees take their companies to the next level on behalf of the patients they serve. The challenges created by the pandemic make it all the more important that we engage as an industry through The Medtech Conference on our collective goal improving and saving patients’ lives around the world,” said Scott Whitaker, CEO of AdvaMed.
Powered by AdvaMed, the conference brings together the world’s top medtech executives and innovators to network, conduct business, gain access to capital and share insights in an engaging environment. This year’s event will feature a mix of in-person and virtual sessions covering topics from the state of the medtech industry to medtech’s role in the pandemic. With nearly 90 sessions featuring more than 250 speakers, the conference will bring together medtech professionals from 40 countries to engage on the important issues facing the medtech industry, including addressing health disparities, responding to COVID-19, and navigating the FDA.
