AdvaMedDx Applauds Appointment of Dr. Christine C. Ginocchio to Presidential Advisory Council on Combatting Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria
Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has appointed Dr. Christine C. Ginocchio, Ph.D, MT (ASCP) to the Presidential Advisory Council on Combatting Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB) where she will serve a four-year term. The Council advises the HHS Secretary on programs and policies that drive public sector efforts to combat antibiotic resistance.

Dr. Ginocchio is internationally recognized for her expertise with over 40 years of extensive experience in clinical diagnostics. She is Vice President of Global Medical Affairs at bioMérieux, an AdvaMedDx member company, the Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs at BioFire Diagnostics, and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine in New York.
Diagnostic tests play a vital role in combatting antibiotic resistance and can be used to identify, monitor, track, treat, and prevent antibiotic resistant bacteria. They also can aid in improving the judicious use of antibiotics.
