Caroll H. Neubauer Named 2024 Medtech Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
Washington, D.C. – Today, AdvaMed, the Medtech Association, announced that Caroll H. Neubauer, former Chairman and CEO of B. Braun of America Inc. and current Executive Advisor at Water Street Healthcare Partners, will receive the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award at the medtech industry’s premier annual gathering, The MedTech Conference, in Toronto on October 16.
Neubauer served on the AdvaMed Board of Directors for more than 15 years and served multiple years as the chair of The MedTech Conference. He retired from the B. “The AdvaMed Lifetime Achievement Award is the medtech community’s highest honor for leaders who have dedicated their careers to transforming patients’ lives. There is no one more deserving this year than Caroll Neubauer,” said Scott Whitaker, AdvaMed President and CEO. “Caroll is a great leader, and the work he has done has been transformational at B. Braun and more broadly for the industry as well. There are few people with the passion and energy Caroll has demonstrated for the patients we all serve. I am proud to call Caroll my friend, and it is fitting to present him with his well-earned award at the MedTech Conference—an event he was personally committed to shaping and growing for many years on our board.”
Caroll Neubauer’s career spans more than three decades with B. Braun, including serving for 29 years on the Global Management Board of the B. Braun Group of Companies and leading its North American operations, serving as chairman and CEO of B. Braun of America Inc. In this role, he led the company’s transformation into a premier provider of infusion therapy and pain management solutions.
Neubauer served on the board of directors for AdvaMed for more than 15 years and as chairman of the German American Chamber of Commerce New York, initiating programs to benefit transatlantic relations and health care communities in the U.S. and Europe. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the German Federal Cross of Merit in 2015. He also was honored with the MedTech Leadership Award from Life Sciences Pennsylvania in 2020.
Caroll earned a German Law degree from The Albert Ludwigs University, Freiburg, Germany, and a Master of Laws from Georgetown University.
The AdvaMed Lifetime Achievement Award honors the accomplishments of pioneers in the medical technology sector whose contributions have had a significant impact on patients’ lives and the industry as an essential part of America’s economy.
