Patients Take Center Stage During Week 4 of The Virtual Medtech Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C.– The life-changing impact of medical technologies on individuals’ lives is the story during Week 4 of The Virtual Medtech Conference, powered by AdvaMed, with the opening of this year’s Patient Pavilion.

Companies including ABIOMED, BD and Smith & Nephew will share inspiring stories of patients whose lives have been saved and improved thanks to advances in medical technology, while highlighting some of the newest innovations in the medical device, diagnostics and digital health spaces.

In addition, a new on-demand session — The Patient’s Voice: Effective Patient Engagement Strategies — will feature experts from Edwards Lifesciences, Neuropace, the United Spinal Association, and the Alliance for Aging Research sharing insights into how medtech companies big and small can build and maintain successful patient engagement programs.

In addition, there will be a Fireside Chat with The Right Honourable Greg Hands MP, the UK’s Minister of State for Trade Policy, who will discuss the latest on Brexit and its impact on the UK’s medtech sector. 

The Virtual Medtech Conference will also continue its series of livestream offerings on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 12:45 pm ET with Clinical Trial Risk Management during COVID-19where industry veterans and small company leaders will share strategies and tactics for planning and executing clinical trials during the ongoing pandemic; and at 1:20 pm ET, Investing in Diagnostics During COVID-19 and Beyondwhere leading medtech investors will reflect on the impact of COVID on the investment landscape for the industry now and in the future.

Registrants to The Virtual Medtech Conference have access to on-demand sessions via a virtual conference platform with new sessions released every week through Oct. 7. In addition, a number of simulcast sessions will be available for viewing from Oct. 5-7, with sessions available on-demand through late October.
